What makes a slut? Yes I know everyone will have a different definition but curious to hear yours. Do 7 dates (sexual encounters) in 7 days make one a slut? How about 9? or 4? what is the dividing line for you or in your mind?Maybe it is not the number of dates or encounters, perhaps it is simply about attitude. Enquiring minds want to know.......

Re: a Slut defined..........
Sat, May 24, 2008 - 6:24 PMmmmm I dont really count myself as a slut right now, I'm in a commited, generally closed relationship. But if I was in an open relationship, and had the right to flirt with ANYONE I chose, and had pleasure with any who I felt were worthy of me... then I'd be a slut, in the very purest, positive meaning of the word

Re: a Slut defined..........
Sat, May 24, 2008 - 7:02 PMIf I allowed others to use me like a Hershey bar
A relatively cheap and easily obtained treat
Then, in my opinion, I would be a slut.
And if I were considered a commodity instead of a treasure
Doled out to an assortment of stockholders,
Then, in my opinion, I would be a slut.
For some, all they are interested in is a candy bar relationship
And for some, the stock market is the only way to go
So for them, thank goodness there are sluts.
But for me, being a slut seems a very empty endeavor
The pleasures immediate and the loneliness lasting
So I choose to be a treasure and not a slut.
However, my active imagination and acting skills
Can portrait a very convincing slut
If the one I trust requests such a performance. *grin*

As posted in AASMA
Sun, May 25, 2008 - 2:14 AM"Slut" has two definitions for me, like "bitch" and "fag." It depends upon whether it is a loving nickname used for yourself or a friend or an insult hurled at a person you don't care for. When I use the word for a friend I'm making a joke of the cultural view of sluttishness. I mean only that the person enjoys sex a great deal with many different people, or is easy to get into bed. The word slut, as an insult, has a personal definition of an individual who has sex not because they love the person or enjoy the act but for expiation of guilt, payment for favors or affection, a way to be liked, or a way to manipulate others.

Re: a Slut defined..........
Mon, May 26, 2008 - 12:29 PMI won't even dare try to define it but will make a quick observation:
I picked up the "Ethical Slut" from my pile of "to do" reading not long ago. The introduction is really good and I was struck with how the authors decided to grab hold of the word, and own it, and turn it into something positive.
I only got as far as the introduction before another shiny object caught my eye but I'll get back to it at some point ;-) -

Re: a Slut defined..........
Fri, May 30, 2008 - 9:18 PMTypically a slut is a woman with a more masculine libido.
A woman may fake an orgasim, a man can fake an entire relationship.
I cheer women who suceed in a typically male sport or job.
I adore a woman with the, excuse the phrase, balls to get what she wants sexually. -

Re: a Slut defined..........
Sat, July 5, 2008 - 11:19 AMI recently had to decide on a definition after a blog i posted this week. i enjoy being Master's slut, I have no problem with other people calling a slut. It's when I become a slut in my own head that becomes the problem. By my definition a slut is any person that can't say no to any one. When I crossed the line and couldn't say no even though I wanted too, I lost the game. I became a slut in a dirty, disgraceful way and lost my power over the situation.
I've called people sluts jokingly, like bitch/whore/asshole/prick/ect, but, there are always those cases where you really have to think about your own definition of the words and what they mean to you. because when you run across someone, or become that person by definition, then the words can be used to hurt people and cut them to the quick.
